Biography
Victor Deyglio, known on stage as Vic Mix, works on both sides of the studio glass. As a recording engineer he came out of New York's Power Station studios, and his credits, according to the Urban Pioneers' own biography and to press coverage, include work with the Rolling Stones, Lena Horne, Guns N' Roses and the Spin Doctors. Discogs lists more than a hundred technical and production credits under variants of his name, and associates him with Guns N' Roses' debut Appetite for Destruction. At Power Station he met singer Lex Grey, and the two founded Lex Grey and the Urban Pioneers, a blues and rock band that grew out of informal jams in a Williamsburg bar.
In the band he plays guitar and serves as producer and engineer, and he has been part of its lineup across its eight albums, including How Many Roads? (2023). The group later settled in the Catskills, where it operates the studio Bigger Pink. At Holland Tunnel Gallery he accompanied Lex Grey on guitar for "The Rock Diva & Favorite Goodbye Songs" on November 18, 2023.
Practice. Electric and acoustic guitar in a blues-rock setting; record production, mixing and audio engineering.
