On Nov 19, 20 en 21, Holland Tunnel Gallery presented 2 exhibitions with works by 50 international artists, and a series of concerts by renowned Dutch and New York jazz musicians. The event was part of 5 Dutch Days, an annual event that celebrates the cultural and historical connection between The Netherlands and New York. The festivities were attended by a crowd of art and jazz lovers who enjoyed the arts and sparkling jazz in unusual settings.
Amongst the guests were Mr Gajus Scheltema, Consul General of The Netherlands, Mr Arthur Kibbelaar, Consul for Press and Cultural Affairs, and Ms Angela Molenaar of the Netherland-America Foundation.
Dutch pianist/vocalist Heleen Schuttevaêr presented a swinging 3-days jazz program with guest musicians Amanda Sedgwick (alto saxophone), Joris Teepe (bass), Ron Jackson (guitar), Debbie Kennedy (bass), Jarrett Cherner (piano), Jean-Clair de Ruwe (drums), Jerry Sheldon (vocals), Jula Aimée (vocals), Maria Christina (vocals), Anna Smith (vocals).
